Upcoming Drama Workshops

Our Specialised Workshops create training opportunities not normally available to non-professional actors. Students get the benefit of training with highly experienced instructors in a specific method or style of performing arts training without large investments of time, or an audition.

Taster Scene Work class- January 10th, 2026.

 The day will will be an exploration of character, interaction, and storytelling. During the session, we’ll experiment with short scenes, trying out a range of styles including comedy, contemporary, classical, and American. You’re also welcome to bring your own script to explore on the day. Most importantly, it will be fun, creative, and collaborative!

(See information below)There’s absolutely no obligation to join the 10-week course — you’re very welcome to simply enjoy the taster class. However, participants in the taster session will receive first preference for booking the full course.

Some information about the follow on 10 week Scene work course:

 ·  Classes will run on a weekday evening,  either Monday or Wednesday evening  ( depending on most requested day) , starting in early 2026 from 6.30pm to 9pm

·       Week 1: You’ll be paired with a scene partner and assigned a scene to explore together.

·       Weeks 2–5: Through guided exercises, you’ll discover into your character’s motivations, relationships, and objectives—learning how to bring authenticity, depth, and nuance to your dialogue.

·       Midway Point: We’ll introduce two focused workshops on voice and movement, led by our returning guest coaches:

·        Week 5: Fiona Browne (Voice Coach): to help you strengthen vocal presence and clarity.

·       Week 6: Bryan Burroughs (Movement Coach): to develop physical awareness and expressiveness in performance.

·       Final Weeks: You’ll refine your scene and integrate all your learning in preparation for a workshop performance in front of an invited audience. (No pressure—inviting friends or family is entirely optional! You’ll have plenty of rehearsal and learn practical techniques to manage nerves.)

You’ll come away with:

·       A deeper understanding of scene work and character development

·       An opportunity to work receive acting, movement and vocal coaching from professionals in the industry

·       Confidence and experience performing in front of an audience

·       A feeling of having achieved a massive accomplishment!

·       The performance bug.  You’ll be looking for more!

·       Duration: 10 weeks, starting in January,  Monday or Wednesday evening tbc

·       Time: 6:30 pm – 9 pm

·       Location: Dublin 6  ( exact venue tbc)

·       Cost: €350.00  -Option to pay in two instalments

·       Maximum 12 in class

 

Experience required? None! You don’t need previous training , just bring curiosity, openness, and willingness to play.
